LapSafe is the new Self Service Laptop Loan system that is now available to Cardiff Met students.

Based in Llandaff IT Suite, the Lapsafe system allows an easy and secure way to borrow a laptop just like you would borrow a book. Linked to the Cardiff Met Library System, 60 brand new Dell laptops are housed in individual lockers which are accessed by just a press of a button, and by using your student card.

This new service is provided in addition to the existing laptop loan service that Library and Information Services currently provide via the IT Helpdesk at both campuses, should you need to loan a laptop for a longer period of time.

You are able to loan a laptop between the following hours:

Each laptop can be loaned for up to 4 hours at any one time.

If a laptop is returned overdue, then a fine of £1 per every overdue hour will be in effect until a maximum fine limit of £100 has been reached
